Big Time is awesome plan, the best that you could have EVER! my download speed is 1.4 MB/s and around 100GB per month i download. it just a matter of knowing what you should do to increase the download, such as port forward, half open, etc, its a thing that you should learn before complaining! but i have to agree that Online gaming is unplayable, but with ping 100 ms on DOTA it shouldn\'t be a problem, after all its SKILL not connection. Too bad no more big time from next month, retard telecom took it out. CURSE you telecom

I\'m on Big Time Plan and it looks like my ISP provider trolling my net speed -,- I bought a game on Steam called Warhammer 40k Chaos Rising and its been 7 days since i still downloading the game. Because my download speed only 2kb/sec to 5kb/sec which is TERRIBLE!!!!

I absolutely hate BigTime. Bad pings, terrible international speeds. Reverting back to my previous ISP. ASAP~!

Hey Guys, Just wondering about the Telecom Big Time plan.. Is it worth changing? Are the speeds decent for a heavy download/uploader? Cheers

7.6Mb/s downstream? That means I should be downloading at 7.6 megs from NZ right? The highest I have seen on http://www.speedtest.net/ is 1MB :S Im not capped or downloading either.

Well I've been on the BigTime plan from Telecom for a month and have found the up/down speed to be just adequate. The speeds are inconsistent but are relatively okay for a non-heavy downloader. Good for a frequent internet user or light downloader. Just remember Telecom shapes BigTime traffic so expect really slow speeds around volatile times.

My household is on the Telecom Pro plan, and last month we went 21gb+ over the 40gb limit. $400. Find a low excess plan with high speed. Telecom Hurts. Gamers need more then 40gb :P

I'm on Explorer (Home Plan) and I find the speed very adequate at 800kbs. But at the 10gb cap It really does not last long in my household of 3 computers and 2 gaming consoles with online capabilities. Increase in capped rate by 50% would be nice and also hurry up with ADSL2+ and get that increase.

About Telecom's Go Large plan = My friend is still on the plan although they do not promote it anymore. Weird huh. =P Also on Explorer I'm able to achieve 800kb of pure download speed. Wonderful. Just wish they would hurry up with ADSL2+ in the South Auckland Region.

Basic, Explorer, Adventure & Pro plans have recently had their data caps increased. Explorer, Adventure & Pro plans have recently had their upstream speeds uncapped. Go Express, Pro advanced & Pro ultra have been removed.

not happy with the current broadband plans. 3GB for $39.95 is a killer!, wish they still had the golarge plan . Atleast on that its unlimited even though the speeds vary. I would prefer the cap range more than the speed.

A near-constant net user, I've been with Xtra-Go for about 2 years. Though I despise the company, I have to say the broadband has been amazingly reliable - only perhaps 1 occasion of 2 or 3 hours downtime that I've noticed. D/L speed usually aprox 3000kbps, and throttles back just fine when my limit reached. I've also had mostly pretty good service from their helplines on the infrequent times I've needed it.

This is your opportunity to share your experiences of this ISP with other users — is it really as fast as it claims to be? Is their customer service any good? Do they have regular outages, or is their service reliable?

Please keep your comment short and on-topic.
