As a professional IT service provider this is possible the worst provider for stable internet connections, constant down time with no explanation. They claim a backbone support of TCL but use Xtra mostly as clearly it is the cheaper option for them to do so. If you want poor international performance for the greater part of the day with incredible packet loss then this is the provider for you. ll business customers that rely on stable data transfer outside of New Zealand to stay well away from any provider that connects to the telecom nz back bone.

This is an excellent ISP for big downloaders. You'd be hard pressed to find Pro plans in NZ that let you download 60gig of data a month for under $90.

I changed to Snap from Orcon and have NEVER had a better connection Orcon went down down down to absolute crap over the last couple of years useless in my opinion ! With Orcon I got 5+ disconnections a day - I changed modems, filters, telecom checked lines but nooo Orcon still said something was wrong at my house. Connected with Snap and have had one disconnection in months ! BEST ISP EVER fast speeds too

Went for Snap Pro plan - actually costs you just under $100 month if you dont get their phone option. First guy dealt with incorrectly processed application resulting in 3week delay! However, wont hold 1 idiot against them. Router arrived pre configured and no issues with connection - literally plug and go (no port or firewall problems either!) Speed is what you would expect on Telecoms aging copper loop. All in all (other than initial hiccup) excellent ISP

This is your opportunity to share your experiences of this ISP with other users — is it really as fast as it claims to be? Is their customer service any good? Do they have regular outages, or is their service reliable?

Please keep your comment short and on-topic.
