Have the Gold+.....absolutely awful...lots of disconnections, slow speeds, really poor support...I\'ve repeatedly had issues with them .... you have to make a real song and dance to get anyone to actually do anything..they say they\'ll do something and you\'ll never hear from them... really disappointed they used to be good...they are far from that now |

Would have to agree with D Waring, they were good when seeby owned them, customer service deterioted slowly after he sold out, to the point now where its a fight with them to get anything done. I had a 4 month fight over a much deterioted internet connection in papakura, which I won [they swapped to a different street cable], my \"adls2\" is now moderately acting like it [12mg]down instead of 4mg, but note; I still had to spend 4 months fighting with them . |

Absolute nightmare. Disconnects twice per minute without fail between peak hours 5.45pm and 7.30pm Friday to Sunday. Orcon made me do 2 weeks worth of isolation tests and still blamed MY equipment which had worked perfectly with a previous ISP. Finally dispatched someone to check exchange and said would call next day. Did not call the next day. When I asked to cancel they tried to convince me not to by saying AGAIN that I must be doing something wrong. Avoid Orcon like the plague. |

I can't complain about the service because there isn't any. I am told my gear won't work on their network. Hmmm...Linksys modem and router, Brother fax machine and copper wire. Whats not to work. They suck big time now. Used to be good when Seeby owned them but he took his Ferrari and ran. |

Orcon could not manage a simple move from 1 address to another. They had no reply to an online support request for over 8 days, finally I phoned them. The guy kept trying to end the call before I was complete in explaining what I needed. The connection/reconnection took over 2 weeks and i had to go for 1 week with only dialup. The guys on support cannot do anything to help you except to apologise. Support is terrible. The actual connection, however, has been reasonable. So, they are fine as long as you don't need any help but I will be looking for a new provider... |

Speed varies wildly. Slow as molasses at night. Numerous reconnects. P2P traffic on/off. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! |

Have had the Purple Platinum for 3 weeks, and during that time, it has been down for the past week. Is was also disconnecting and reconnecting itself every few minutes when it was up. Going to start looking for another provider. |
